Rio Tinto announces job cuts in Australia

The pierce follows identical announcements from BHP
Billiton
and rival Xstrata,
who suggested skeleton to cut
900 spark mining jobs in Queensland and New South Wales

earlier this month.

Australian resources projects value tens of billions of dollars, such as BHP's
Olympic Dam mine
, have been behind or scrapped as companies haul
behind spending skeleton in response to a tellurian slowdown.

Australia’s treasurer Wayne Swan warned on Monday that reduce commodity prices
could bushel skeleton to lapse to over-abundance subsequent year.

“Commodity prices have declined rather in new months, and they do
