Hurricane Sandy closes in on East Coast

HATTERAS ISLAND, North Carolina (Reuters) – Hurricane Sandy sealed in on a United States on Saturday, where it threatens to strike a eastern third of a nation with torrential rains, high winds, vital flooding and energy outages a week before U.S. presidential and congressional elections.

The late-season charge has been dubbed “Frankenstorm” by some continue watchers since it will mix elements of a pleasant charge and a winter charge and is foresee to strech a U.S. seashore tighten to Halloween.
