Star Wars Fans 'Cautiously Optimistic' About Disney-Lucas Deal

With Tuesday’s proclamation that Walt Disney Company is now a unapproachable new owners of Lucasfilm, fans all over a Expanded Universe are expressing each tension imaginable, including elation, frustration, wish … and fear.

Eric Geller from TheForce.net tells MTV News he is “cautiously optimistic” per Disney’s acquisition. Geller pronounced he’s seen a ubiquitous regard among fans that it will give a authorization even some-more “corporate overtones” than it already had.

“Lucasfilm has been flattering good about reaching out to fans for things like screenings of episodes of ‘The Clone Wars,’ and we don’t wish to see that attribute with a fans disappear,” Geller said. “We wish Disney to continue Lucasfilm’s overdo to fans since we wish to continue to feel connected to a saga.”
