Islamists to rally behind Mursi as Egypt's rifts widen

CAIRO (Reuters) – Islamists designed rallies opposite Egypt on Saturday in support of President Mohamed Mursi, who has rushed by a structure to try to moisten antithesis ire over his newly stretched powers.

Mursi was due to sanction a constitution, fast authorized by an Islamist-dominated drafting public on Friday, after in a day and to set a date for a referendum on it within 15 days.

Tens of thousands of Egyptians protested opposite Mursi on Friday and opposition demonstrators threw stones after dim in Alexandria and a Nile Delta city of Al-Mahalla Al-Kobra.
