Nearly half of people paid for their Christmas on credit this year, investigate suggested today.
Some 46 per cent of people surveyed pronounced they has used credit cards, overdrafts, store cards or payday loans to cover Christmas spending this year, according to consumer organisation Which?.
While 54 per cent of consumers design their budgets to be even tighter subsequent year, and 4 out of 10 pronounced they had significantly cut behind on their spending this Christmas.
