President Obama used his Saturday radio residence to echo his demand that Congress act before a republic falls off a “fiscal cliff” that includes involuntary taxation hikes and bill cuts.
“You accommodate your deadlines and your responsibilities each day,” Obama told his radio audience. “The folks we sent here to offer should do a same. We can't let Washington politics get in a approach of America’s progress.”
Obama spoke as Senate Democratic and Republican leaders work this weekend on a package that could be voted on as early as Monday. Any devise contingency also authorized by a Republican-run House.
