Not even a rarely expected releases of Django Unchained and Les Miserables could hit The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey from a tip of a box office.

While a argumentative labour crack and a Hugh Jackman-Anne Hathaway starring low-pitched garnered record-breaking box bureau numbers on their Christmas Day openings, Peter Jackson‘s anticipation film still reigned supreme. 

Django Unchained: either we should be totally offended

The Hobbit continued to browbeat for a third weekend in a quarrel with an estimated $32.9 million Friday-Sunday take, upping a domestic sum to a whopping $222.7 million.
