AT&T spends $780 million to buy more spectrum

ATT is spending $780 million in money to dip adult some-more wireless spectrum.

The association announced Tuesday that it is shopping a U.S. sell wireless operations of a conduit called Atlantic Tele-Network or ATNI. As partial of a deal, ATT will acquire wireless spectrum licenses, network assets, sell stores and approximately 585,000 subscribers.

ATNI operates underneath a Alltel name in a U.S, Its network covers roughly 4.6 million in farming areas in 6 states including, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, North Carolina, Ohio and South Carolina.

The spectrum licenses that ATT is appropriation are in a 700MHz, 850MHz, and 1900MHz band. ATT uses 700MHz for a 4G LTE network and a conduit uses 850MHz and 1900MHz for a 2G and 3G networks.
