Australian govt Google data requests on the rise

The volume of information that Australian supervision agencies are requesting from Google is solemnly on a rise, though Google’s rate of correspondence stays roughly a same.

The latest Google Transparency report covering a last 6 months of 2012 showed that requests by a Australian supervision continue to rise, recording 584 requests from 711 accounts, compared to 523 in a initial 6 months of 2012. This represents an 11 percent boost in requests.

Since recording initial began in 2009, a series of requests from Australian supervision agencies has increasing 73 percent.
