DANIEL DAY-LEWIS may soon be known as the greatest actor ever — but he already
holds the title as the weirdest.
If the Lincoln star wins the Oscar for Best Actor next month he will be the
first person in history to have been awarded the gong three times.
But Daniel, 55, prefers cobbling shoes at home in the mountains of County
Wicklow in Ireland to working on a film set.
And when he does make a rare foray back in front of the cameras — Lincoln
was his first film in four years — his behaviour is just as eccentric.
He was so obsessed with maintaining the mindset of Abraham Lincoln while
making the new film that he stayed in character throughout the shooting
