Inauguration Day: Obama set for public swearing-in

The Obamas attended a church use nearby a White House on Monday morning

Hundreds of thousands of people are thronging Washington DC’s National Mall to watch Barack Obama take a promise of bureau for a second tenure as president.

Just before noon, Mr Obama will be sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts in front of a US Capitol.

Festivities embody black-tie balls, a parade, and low-pitched performances.
