Life of Pi still tops the box office

Ang Lee’s Life of Pi continues to lift in Australian audiences, holding a No.1 position as a weekend drawcard over The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Moviegoers paid some-more than $2.859 million over a weekend to see Life of Pi, a film about a child who finds himself adrift on a vessel with a tiger in a Pacific Ocean.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is also gripping audiences happy in second place and has pulled in some-more that $38 million in 4 weeks.

Judd Apatow’s latest comedy This Is 40 debuted in third position, raking in $1.877 million forward of Les Miserables in fourth place and Wreck-It Ralph, that also binds solid in fifth position.
