Snow Storm Brings M6 To Standstill

Motorists have criticised a response of puncture services after sleet caused a closure of a territory of a M6 motorway in Lancashire.

Hundreds of drivers spent adult to 8 hours stranded in their vehicles, while others deserted their cars on a M6 in Lancashire after a feet of sleet fell on Friday night.

The motorway became blocked in both directions between junctions 25 and 27, nearby Wigan.
