No US antitrust guarantees for Office Depot, OfficeMax merger

WASHINGTON/NEW YORK (Reuters) – Antitrust experts pronounced on Tuesday there were no guarantees that a understanding to combine Office Depot Inc, a No. 2 U.S. bureau supply retailer, with smaller opposition OfficeMax Inc would win supervision approval.
