Papal coverage 2013: Like the Oscars, Super Bowl and Tahrir rolled into one

As we began essay this, on Tuesday afternoon, black fume rose from that funnel in a Vatican. As even a male in a moon contingency know by now, a crux was this: No pope for you! Not that anybody on television, opposite mixed channels, was indeed giving viewers a gist. Hell, no. Coverage of a pope conference has been long-winded, verbose, mostly stupid and, frankly, excessive. Every channel hereabouts and in a United States has been all over a story with mind-boggling doggedness. Vatican insanity run amok.
