Queen's 'too sick' for trip

THE Queen might be forced to cancel a outing to Italy after being laid low by a
stomach bug.

The 86-year-old sovereign remained during Windsor Castle yesterday after being
forced to lift out of a St David's Day jubilee in Wales.

She had been due to palm out leeks to soldiers of a 3rd Battalion, The Royal
Welsh, in Swansea yesterday.

But Palace officials put out a matter on Friday dusk confirming she was
too ill to attend after being struck down by a hitch of gastroenteritis.

Her illness — that is many ordinarily caused by norovirus or food poisoning —
puts in danger a designed two-day outing to Rome with a Duke of Edinburgh
next weekend.
