Yoko Ono tweets her support for US gun control

WASHINGTON — A sobering picture of John Lennon’s wounded eyeglasses ricocheted around a Internet on Thursday after his widow Yoko Ono posted them on Twitter in an interest for worse US guns laws.

“The genocide of a desired one is a hollowing experience. After 33 years, a son Sean and we still skip him,” pronounced Ono in a twitter to her 3.7 million supporters on Wednesday, a 44th anniversary of her matrimony to a Beatle.

It was illustrated with a print of Lennon’s glasses, dirty with blood over a left lens, and captioned: “Over 1,057,000 people have been killed by guns in a USA given John Lennon was shot and killed on Dec 8, 1980.”
