Cellphone Users Steaming at Hit-or-Miss Service

On Friday, 4 days after Hurricane Sandy, a vital carriers — ATT, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile USA and Sprint — were still busily rebuilding their networks in a hardest-hit areas.

One-quarter of a dungeon towers in a charge section were knocked out, according to a Federal Communications Commission. Many had no power, and their backup battery systems shortly drained. The lines joining those towers to a rest of a phone network were ripped out. Carriers deployed generators to yield power, though eventually those compulsory some-more fuel — another singular resource.
