First woman elected to Michigan House from UP dies at 64

WALLACE (WKZO) — The initial lady inaugurated to a state House from a Upper Peninsula has died during a age of 64.

Judy Nerat served a 108th district, that encompasses Delta, Dickinson and Menominee counties.  She served one tenure in a state House and had run again this year, losing in a Democratic primary in Aug by 93 votes.

Neither a House Democrats nor Nerat’s necrology in a “Escanaba Daily Press” exhibit a means of death.
