Bradley Wiggins has been knighted in a New Year Honours list.
The cyclist became a first Britain to win a Tour de France, reached his fourth Olympic bullion medal and won a BBC Sports Personality of a Year in 2012.
‘Sir Wiggo’ is on a special list of 78 Olympians and Paralympians to be awarded by a Queen.
Paralympic cyclist Sarah Storey, who also won 4 golds, and a soldier Ben Ainslie are also being knighted.
A supervision orator pronounced some-more sportsmen and women had perceived honours this year than ever before, with 123 awards compared to 44
