Saudi arrests 18 spies including Iranian: ministry

RIYADH — The Saudi authorities have arrested 18 suspected spies, including an Iranian and a Lebanese, on charges of espionage for a unfamiliar country, a interior method pronounced on Tuesday.

“Sixteen Saudis, an Iranian and a Lebanese were arrested in concurrent and coexisting operations in 4 regions of a kingdom,” including a collateral Riyadh and a holy city of Mecca, a method pronounced in a statement.

The suspects, some of whom were arrested in Eastern Province where a kingdom’s Shiite minority is concentrated, were operative for a unfamiliar nation that it did not name, a matter added.
